The hardest part of podcasting? Promotion

The biggest challenge facing podcasters today? Promotion.

We recently ran a survey that told us 64% of podcasters we spoke to see this as the hardest part of podcasting. It causes more pain than editing and booking guests.

Now I know you’ll see a bunch of listicles and YouTube videos giving you one size fits all advice, but you may be missing the real issue.

I genuinely believe that some podcasts have a fundamental problem with promotion, simply because they didn't have an audience strategy. Coming up with a name, interviewing your own network and hoping for the best isn't enough.

If you take the time to develop a show that is relevant and of value to a target audience you've worked hard to define, then you'll find promotion less of an uphill struggle.

Knowing your audience gives you a huge advantage. You know which platforms they use, which content they consume and what interests them.

Knowing your audience then preparing a show that meets their needs and habits, makes them much easier to convert into listeners. How can they say no?

If your struggling to understand your audience or still need to build one then lets us help!
